Valkerie is a four piece alternative rock band hailing from the forest canopies of Portland, OR. It's a space for big feelings to be expressed dramatically. Frontwoman, Rachel Peters, brings tender, thunderous lyricism and melodies to guitarist, Dan Bacon, to make them as big as they can be. Drummer, Jordan VanSise, and bassist, Kaden Zook, come together to drive the stories home. At their core, these friends all share a deep desire to be unapologetically themselves— whether in the form of genre bending, or being unapologetically melancholic. They bring lyrical and sonic inspiration from the likes of Paramore, The Cranberries, and Blondie. Valkerie released their debut EP "Prelude" in January of 2025, recorded and engineered almost exclusively by the band, with Rachel and Dan being the producers of the record. Their new EP, “Myocardia”, shows Valkerie in a new light, as they get more comfortable in their feelings, and getting comfortable screaming them out.
